DOVER-FOXCROFT – The Maine Highlands Council for the Arts is pleased to announce the return of the Fall Folk Festival, after a three-year hiatus, from 2-8 p.m. on Saturday, November 19 at Central Hall Commons. The Festival showcases the best elements of a quality craft fair, as well as showcases and demonstrations by the vendors and artisans who attend. Among the vendors will be carpenters, maple syrup producers, fiber arts, stone carvings by Penobscot sculptor Tim Shay and more.

There will be live music throughout the day, from the local ukulele club to Gypsy Soul Blues, Argentine tango and Korean traditional dance. Roberta Jarvis will also present the Piscataquis County song! The evening will feature headline band New Relm with their beloved mix of country and western style music.

Homemade pastries, chili (both with meat and vegetarian options) and coffee, tea and cider will be available for sale.

The Fall Folk Festival is a major fundraiser for the Maine Highlands Council for the Arts and Central Hall Commons. A small entrance fee will be charged for the whole day. The suggested donation will be $5 per person, $8 per family, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

It promises to be a fun and rewarding way to spend a November afternoon. For more information, email [email protected] or call Allison Aldrich Smith at 207-598-6398.
