Rawalpindi-The Punjab Arts Council (PAC) held folk dance, song and drama performances on Wednesday to promote new talent.
According to the PAC spokesperson, the winners of the Punjab talent search program at the provincial level 2021-22 have participated in the program.
The main guests were PAC Lahore Operations Manager Muhammad Abrar Alam and Naheed Manzoor.
Dera Ghazi Khan’s Azam Khosa group entertained the audience by performing a traditional Baloch dance, the spokesperson said.
Chakwal’s Tahir Ali Khan evoked pleasant memories of days gone by with folk songs.
In the end, Nowsherawan group from Faisalabad gave theatrical performances and received a lot of appreciation from the audience, he added.
Muhammad Abrar Alam said that the government of Punjab is happy to organize the Chief Minister Punjab Talent Hunt program to find talented youngsters and promote them.
He said the younger generation is a valuable asset to the country and the current government is taking important steps to turn them into productive citizens.
Naheed Manzoor said that due to the efforts of the Punjab government, young artists are performing for you after being selected through competitions at tehsil, district, division and provincial levels.
Many renowned artists have made Pakistan famous all over the world. They were trained by the Arts Council, she said.
Arts Council director Waqar Ahmed said the artists were gems of Pakistani culture.
