The Warwick Folk Festival is set to make a triumphant return this summer – and all to a new venue. The popular event has not been staged since 2019, when it was held at Warwick Racecourse due to the pandemic.

This year’s edition will take place from July 21 to 24 in the castle park. The new location, next to Warwick Castle, means all the main sites and camping are on one site. Headliners include festival patron and internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Will Pound, Mercury Prize-nominated singer Seth Lakeman and Nancy Kerr, Folk Singer of the Year at the 2015 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

Festival director Dick Dixon said: “We look forward to our 42nd festival, especially in such a beautiful location overlooking the banks of the Avon. From the comments, we know that our festival-goers are looking forward to a fantastic weekend of superb music, camping, workshops, singing, dancing, sessions and laughter at what is one of the friendliest and most established folk festivals around.
