Sachin Tendulkar and Kiran More Groove on an iconic folk song en route to Pune

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar is a mentor for Indians in Mumbai and he takes his job very seriously. He was on his way to Pune where Mumbai is due to play their next match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Maharashtra Cricket Stadium in Pune. Meanwhile, he was bored and that’s when he chose to dance a little to this Marathi folk song.

At his side is Kiran More, former India coach and wicketkeeper. Both of them can be seen grooving to the folk song. “Stuck in traffic jam heading to Pune. Thought I’d listen to this beautiful song,” Sachin tweeted.

Heading into their second game in IPL 2022 against the Rajasthan Royals, the five-time champions Mumbai Indians hit the net for an afternoon session at Reliance Corporate Park, Navi Mumbai, watched and mentored by Sachin Tendulkar team icon.

This was the first practice hitting legend Tendulkar attended with the coaching staff. Tendulkar had joined the team a few days ago after undergoing the mandatory quarantine period.

Tendulkar spent all of Tuesday afternoon in the nets, intensely watching the players, and hanging out with youngsters Tilak Varma, Dewald Brewis and Aryan Juyal, offering advice on how to play different shots, footwork, batting position, among others.

After doing an indoor gym session the day before, the session that ended in the evening took a lot of effort from the players, three days before their match against the Rajasthan Royals on April 2.

In addition to the net session, the team also underwent fielding, catching and running drills to prepare for the next game, the franchise said in a statement.

Mumbai Indians started their IPL 2022 campaign on a disappointing note, losing to Delhi Capitals in their opener. They would now like to put their first points on the table by beating Rajasthan Royals.
