Festival director Dave Minich said he and the committee are working hard to bring together the concerts, tours, musician sessions and street entertainment for another fantastic weekend of music and fun from the 1st to the 3rd. July.
As usual, the festival will kick off Saturday’s events with the traditional Morris Parade at 11am from the fire station, followed by street entertainment and Morris Sides activities.
The Saturday afternoon ceilidh at the town hall will be an event for the community, young and old.
Many indoor concerts are organized on weekends. Plus, there will be live band sessions, song tours, workshops and Morris dancing, plus a free family fun day on Sunday in Savoy Square.
Dave said: “All the artists who were under contract for 2020 have rescheduled their bookings and a great lineup is happening with concerts at Town Hall and the Masonic Lodge.
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to hold a street market this year, but the usual monthly farmers’ market will be held on Saturday mornings.”
This year’s festival will be dedicated to the memory of its founder and former director, Geoff Pickles, who sadly passed away in April.
Weekend tickets are priced at £84 and individual concert tickets from £23, available on Eventbrite. For more information visit www.cleckheatonfolkfestival.org
