(JERSEY CITY, NJ) — In its historic downtown core, three blocks from the Exchange Place PATH station and just two stops from Manhattan, Jersey City is once again home to the West Hudson Folk Festival Saturday, October 15 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the new Nimbus Art Center. This festival will include performances from nationally acclaimed artists and highly regarded regional acts. Lineup includes Ebony Hillbillies, Leslie Mendelson, J Pope and the HearNow, Jaimee Harris, Cole Quest and the City Pickers, Ari Hest, Ukrainian Village Voices and KJ Denhert.

The Hudson West Folk Festival is a non-profit organization organized by a handful of longtime Manhattan and Jersey City-based music presenters who have come together to showcase their favorite artists. A festival with a diverse approach – the musicians selected are intentionally eclectic and cover a wide range of music from Americana, contemporary singer-songwriters, Hip-Hop/Funk/Soul, Bluegrass and Jazz.

The Hudson West Folk Festival is an indoor event, rain or shine, with non-stop music, free music workshops, a bar, and ethnic fare. The workshops will provide instruction on improvisational singing, how to develop your own musical style, and even Ukrainian folk songs.

Great food and drink with a spotlight on refugees. The Hudson West Folk Festival is proud to work with Welcome Home Jersey City to bring in refugee chefs to present mouth-watering ethnic specialties from Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door. The Nimbus Arts Center is located at 329 Warren Street in Jersey City, New Jersey. Tickets and more information are available for purchase on line.
