The Kutztown Folk Festival returns face-to-face

This week, the Kutztown Folk Festival is launching a series of fall events. Following the 2020 and 2021 virtual festivals, we will be back this fall to offer you an experience of immersing yourself in the region’s rich history, showcasing vibrant local businesses, artists and artisans. I forged my mind.

As America’s oldest folk festival, we promise to uphold the traditions of the Pennsylvania Dutch community. This week’s event celebrates folk crafts and artisans, local agriculture, traditional music, food and dance with a contemporary twist. For a full schedule.

This week’s attendees will see many familiar faces, vendors, activities, and a few new ones. Many of these events take place on Main Street, bringing the city’s traders into the festival. This week’s event may differ in some ways, but the festival’s purpose – to emphasize Pennsylvania’s vibrant Dutch culture – remains the same.

In 1950, nearly 25,000 people attended Kutztown’s first folk festival, and recently it was named one of America’s biggest celebrations by United States today Unmissable event by Washington Post.. For more than 70 years, the festival has allowed visitors to discover the rich traditions of our region.

I am honored to be able to lead this wonderful event. I wish you a wonderful week. We look forward to everyone coming back to the Kutztown Folk Festival 2022 trade show in July.
