This year, $5 from each paid entry will be donated to humanitarian aid for victims of the war in Ukraine.
From the rich color and deep symbolism of the delicate “pysanka” (Ukrainian Easter egg) to the thunder, power, rhythm and force of “Hopak” – the most exciting ethnic dance in the world, and every brilliant “Kolomiyka” (polka) and soulful folk song in between, experience the 2022 Ukrainian Folk Festival, celebrating the 31st anniversary of independence in 1991.
Enjoy an outdoor summer concert and show from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., live orchestra music from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., traditional Ukrainian dishes and baked goods , barbecue, standard picnic, grove of vendors, Ukrainian arts and crafts exhibits and bazaar, cool refreshments, live re-enactments of Ukrainian history and Ukrainian hospitality .
Artists (dance troupes, musicians, singers and ensembles who have performed before) have created a dynamic and integrated collaborative program.
Featured performers include Ukrainian superstar pop singer-songwriter Iryna Lonchyna, Ukrainian Dance Ensemble Voloshky, Ukrainian Dance Ensemble Iskra, Folk Dance Ensemble Carpathia, singer Yuliya Stupen, violinist Innesa Tymochko Dekajlo, Alex Lagoda and Cold Ravine Band, and Banner of Jasna Gora (Historical Reconstruction of Ukrainian History).
