A POPULAR Worcestershire festival saw hundreds of visitors in attendance today.
The Upton Upon Severn Folk Festival 2022 is well underway, with hundreds of guests in attendance for a weekend of folk entertainment.
The main street is full of incredible costumes, artisan market stalls and plenty of places to enjoy a refreshing drink or ice cream.

Until May 2, the festival features concerts, ceilidhs, competitions, workshops, exhibitions and a host of established names from the world of folk.
Venues across the city take part, including The Star, Rugby Club, The King’s Head, Bar 7, Memorial Hall, Baptist Church and many more.
We spoke to members of the Plum Jerkum, the mixed Morris side of Warwick, who were performing at the festival.
The band said: “We are named after a Worcestershire cider named after plums.
“It’s the first festival of the year here in Upton and the people in town and in the shops seem so happy to see us again.
“There are a lot of smiles and the weather is nice, it’s a big event.”
Members of the Plum Jerkum mixed the Morris side of Warwick.
The town also had many artisan shops selling jewelry, clothing, and food.
Mandy Bland, co-owner of the Karma Gear stand, said, “We’re not local, but we love this place.
“Upton is known for its festivals throughout the season and we travel many times.
The city loves it and it brings good business to the area. »

Monday – special holidays
Bryony Griffith and Alice Jones, Moirai presents Framed – the story of Alice Weldon, Ian Bruce, John Tams and Narthen.
On the Sunday of the festival, the procession will pass through the town led by Ledbury Morris and supported by Morris outfits from across the country.
The festival, established more than 30 years ago, returns to the city after a two-year hiatus caused by the pandemic.
Motorists en route to and from Upton this weekend are being warned of road works and possible closures causing delays.
Ongoing works at the junction of the A38 and A4104 mean drivers can expect delays as revelers head into town.
Motorists were also warned of some road closures in the city center.
Church Street, High Street, Old Street, Dunns Lane, Old Welland Road and Waterside are all expected to close during the festival.
